The Robert W. Ellenby Travel & Tourism Scholarship was established to foster and promote career interest in the travel industry and to support students who wish to pursue a travel-related profession. The scholarship is offered to Harford County residents who have been accepted and committed to an accredited travel and tourism degree program, at the associate, bachelor, or graduate degree level. The scholarship may be used for tuition only and will be paid directly to the school of the recipient.
Travel and tourism includes management of travel-related enterprises and related convention and/or tour services, including travel agency management, convention and event planning, tour arranging and planning, tourism marketing and promotion strategies, travel industry operations and procedures, travel counseling, international and domestic operations, travel industry law, and travel/tourism policy.
The 2018 awardee of the scholarship is Danielle Santiago from Aberdeen High School. She will be pursuing a travel-related degree program at the York College of Pennsylvania. Safe Harbors congratulates Danielle and wishes her the best of luck in her future endeavors.
